My Favorite Websites

It seems that in today’s world there dozens of websites and blogs about just about every topic! Here are some of my favorites, on a wide variety of my interests. The authors of these sites provide me with information, inspiration and pleasure…  I have read books they recommend, made recipes and patterns they offer, and laughed and cried at their stories. I hope you enjoy them too.

For book recommendations, ideas on bonding with your daughter through books, and great recipes, follow Cindy Hudson at www.motherdaughterbookclub.com.

A fountain of information and an amazing resource for writers, Christina Katz offers information, classes and challenges on her website The Prosperous Writer at www.christinakatz.com. Check out her great books on becoming a successful writer.

Another helpful website for writers is Kerrie McLoughlin’s http://www.getpublishedparentingmags.com/

I have successfully used her book Get Published in Parenting and Family Magazines

For insights on nutrition, diet and the food industry today, go to Carole Hildebrandt’s excellent website Wise-Habits Nutritional Therapy as well as Debra Meadow’s Blue Raven Wellness.

I recently started following a Paleo diet: gluten, grain and legume free. Danielle at www.againstallgrain.com offers wonderful recipes and beautiful pictures as does Elana at www.elanaspantry.com

An amazing resource about the Paleo diet along with great recipes and 30 day meal plans for several different health conditions is Practical Paleo by Diane Sanfilippo.

I used to live in Portland, OR and love to read Carrie Mins blog at www.lapommedeportland.com for gorgeous photos, delicious recipes and reflections on family life in the Northwest. Her website is a pleasure to follow.

For Fair Isle knitting inspiration and a peak into a serene and creative life, I love to read Shades of Shetland at  www.shadesofshetland.net.

Write me your thoughts. I love to read your comments.
